"The Ferrington Piece" by J.J. Cale
NOTES ON NOTATION: I have attempted to indicate note duration by following a note with Spaces that extend as long as the note should ring. Bass notes and Eighth notes I did not bother to indicate duration with the spaces, As they are very frequent and easy to understand. The length of held notes in music of this type is an approximation at Best and of course is open to interpretation by the performer. EXAMPLE:
E|0-------------0-|0 - etc In this snippet showing just the E and A A|--3 0 3 --|0 - strings, the notes with spaces following 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + them are quarter note length, syncopated.
Note: original performance by Cale is more than 1/4 step flat from concert pitch.
Key of Em Guitar is in standard tuning (EADGBE)
Part A:
Part B:
Em Gm F#m Em Em Go to part A
