JON BON JOVI-Queen of New Orleans
Tabbed by Cameron McNeill: [email protected]
I haven't seen this song tabbed yet, so I decided to do it. I don't know if it's popular in the U.S, but they play it on the radio All the time here in Australia. I play most of the chords as power chords, but it sounds fine if you Play open chords as well...it's up to you.
Standard tuning *=step on your wah-wah if you've got one
Intro/Main riff/Verse: * *
Pre Chorus
:you can do a bit of a slide here if you want.
Chorus
Oh, oh, shala-lala I was dancing with the queen of New Orleans Oh, oh, shala-lala I was dancing in the streets of New Orleans Oh, oh, shala-lala nothing's what it seems in New Orleans Oh, oh, it was almost like a dream
Solo: I think it has a backwards effect like R.E.M's "what's the frequency, Kenneth?", And so it's pretty hard to work out.
Here's what you play over the solo anyway:
Last chorus: The last chorus of this song is interesting... There's a key change...something you don't see that often. All it means though is that you move all the chords up 2 frets.
Oh, oh, shala-lala I was dancing with the queen of New Orleans Oh, oh, shala-lala I was dancing in the streets of New Orleans Oh, oh, shala-lala nothing's what it seems in New Orleans
