Breaking into heaven — Stone Roses
Song: Breaking Into Heaven Artist: Stone Roses Album: Second Coming Written by: John Squire Tabbed by: Rich Milwain ([email protected])
Tuning: Standard (E,A,D,G,B,E)
I couldn't find a tab for this song anywhere, so I had a pop at it myself. This is pretty much the entire song (I didn't bother with that big intro) and although it may not be perfect, it sounds fairly close to the recording. It's just missing a few bits that are near enough impossible to transribe, but maybe they'll follow later. You will need to listen to the recording to get this right...
After Intro (4:37):
There are two simultaneous guitar parts here:
Part 1 - the bit with the bends and that:
Part 2 - the wah-wah sounding guitar part:
cont...
The fast flurry at 4:47, this is done on the first guitar:
(4:57) - Ian Brown starts:
Wah-wah guitar:
I've been casing your joint...
Like the look of your stuff... ...outta sight
Repeat
When i'm hungry And when i'm cold When i'm having it rough Or just gettin' old
(5:18)
Listen up, sweet child of mine Have I got news for you
No - body leaves this place alive They'll die and join the queue
...queue
(5:36)
(5:40)
Wah-wah guitar:
(5:51)
Better man the barricades...
Had a line of my dust... ...outta sight
Repeat
When I wander And when I roam I'll find a soul I can trust I'm comin' home
Listen up...
...queue Singin'
(6:22)
I - 'm Gonna break right into heaven...
...heaven
I can't wait anymore
...anymore
(6:47)
(6.53)
Heaven's gates won't hold me I'll saw those suckers down
|-14bbbb16r14p12----|
Laughing loud at your locks When...ground
Every icon In every town
...town
Here this, your numbers up I'm coming round
...coming round
Listen up sweet child of mine Have I got news for you Nobody leaves this place alive They'll die and join the queue
I'm gonna break right into heaven
I can't wait anymore
These two bits are a pain to transribe. They start off along these lines...
(7:45)
(7:50)
(8:03)
(8:25)
How many times Will I have to tell you
You don't have to wait to die
You can have it all Any time you want it Yeah the kingdoms all inside
Then comes the little bass solo...
(8:53)
Repeat the following chords:
(9:08)
(9:13)
(9:25)
(9:29)
Having trouble transcribing this bit - hopefully it will come later...
(9:35)
As you slide down from 14, this starts:
(9:45)
At same time:
(9:55)
At same time:
(10:05)
(10:16)
(10:31)
Two simultaneous guitars:
(10:34)
(10:47)
This is like the start, again there are two simultaneous guitar parts:
Part 1
Part 2
And that's the end. Easy enough.
